Modern Energy Management appointed Owner’s Representative for 110MW of wind projects in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand

Modern Energy Management Co., Ltd. (MEM) has been appointed as Owner’s Representative for the 60MW Greenovation Power Co., Ltd. and 50MW Korat Wind Co., Ltd. project developments in Thailand. Both project companies are subsidiaries of’s Gunkul Engineering PLC.

MEM’s scope of work will include advisory services on contract structure, development of project tenders, contracting, commercial negotiations and project management services related to the financial close process.

“We appointed MEM as Owner’s Representative for our Wayu wind farm project, which was our first wind project,” stated Mr. Janpon Ngamaroonchote, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Investment Department of Gunkul Engineering PCL. “We had a great experience, and MEM really worked as an extension of my own team, adding speed and efficiency to the financing process.”

The projects, located in Nakhon Ratchasima province, will be Gunkul’s second and third wind farm projects in Thailand, and the financial close processes are expected to be complete within 2015. These projects will bring Gunkul’s total wind project portfolio to 170MW, and MEM has provided Owner’s Representative services for all of the projects in Gunkul’s wind project portfolio.
